Grandpa Lost His Hair

I went to my Grandparents house
I always have fun there
Grandpa was in the yard
Looking for his hair
You see Grandpa is bald
His head is shiny like a mirror
So I do not know why
He was looking for his hair
I said Grandpa, “What are you doing?”
He said “Oh hello my dear.”
And said, “I’m just outside looking,
Looking for my hair”
He must have lost it long ago
Maybe at the County Fair
Maybe he lost it on the Ferris Wheel
Or in the crazy house of mirrors
We looked in the garden
Grandma was watering there
We looked and we looked
But could not find Grandpa’s hair
Maybe some animal took it
Maybe a fox or a bear
But what would they do with
What would they do with Grandpa’s hair?
Grandpa said maybe if we are quiet
Maybe we could hear his hair
But what does hair sound like
I could not hear any hair over there
Grandpa looked in the gutter
I held the ladder stairs
There were a bunch of leaves
But no sign of Grandpa’s hair
Then we went inside and Grandma yelled
“Hey come look over here!”
I ran quickly to Grandma
Did she really find Grandpa’s hair
Grandma was holding an old picture frame
She told me to come near
And in the frame was a picture
Of a young Grandpa with all of his hair
Grandpa may be bald and getting old
We sometimes look for his glasses everywhere
It does not matter what we do together
I Love him with or without any hair.
