The one that will always help you even if im struggling

The one that will let you lean on them even if I have a million other things leaning on me

The one who will show up even if I don’t have time

The one who will be there for you

Because I am that friend

Yet the favour doesn’t get returned

I do not get help when im struggling

I do not have anyone too lean on

No one shows up for me

Ive learned to bottle up my emotions

Because they get in people way

Because I am that friend

Im that friend that you don’t want to hang out with but you invite anyway

I am that friend who doesn’t know whats happening

I am that friend that gets made fun of whilst everyone else laughs

But I am still that friend
