I Don't Believe in Fairy Tales
By scorp
I'm not Snow White,
but I'm lost in this forest.
I'm not Red Riding Hood,
but I think wolves have gotten to me.
I'm not Cinderella,
but I'm aching and broken, still waiting for my Prince Charming.
I'm not the beauty,
but the beast caught me and is dragging me away.I'm battered and wasting away,
fell for your charms,
bit into your poisoned apple,
and now I'm dead inside waiting for the final kiss.Hatred burns strong for you,
but I'm stuck here, in this tall tower,
letting my hair down for you, letting my guard down for you,
only to be rewarded with your cruelty and tyranny.I just want to have a happy ending, but with you...I will never have it.
Where's my prince? Where's my hope?
I don't believe in fairy tales, but I think it got the best of me.
