Is That Enough?

Sometimes I feel inadequate. I feel like I’m not good enough for her love.

I’m always there when she needs me. I always try my best.

But is that enough?

When she needs someone to complain to, I’m always just one text away.

Some days I’m waiting for a text. Hoping she actually needs me, and that it’s not just my imagination.

Then one day she came to me, sad and disappointed in herself.

I told her how I think she is amazing, and how she deserves to be happy.

We talked for a little, and then I asked her how she was feeling, and she said, “I’m doing a lot better, thanks to you.”

My heart started to beat fast. And I thought to myself, “Maybe I am enough.”
