Jump

A high bridge.

Below, a swollen river with clear water. I look down and I am terrified. I’m not sure if I can go ahead with it or if I want to anymore.

"Jump, if you’re going to" a voice calls out, followed by laughter.

Other voices join in and I know that I can’t turn back now even if I want to. I have an audience to appease.

I climb over the barrier, take a deep breath and jump.

I’m falling, falling… until the cord halts my descent.

My first bungee jump was terrifying and thrilling.

An amazing experience.
