If All Else Fails
By Aspen-Faye
It was late into the school year and I hadn't even made my move on mark yet. I'm sure that someone else had him but I wasn't sure. My name is London Kae and this is my story of my school life. So theres this guy that I like his name is Mark Jamey. Mark was the cutest guy ever! He had brown hair and had an even tan skin tone and his face was like it came from heaven. He was perfect in weight and wasn't skinny but he wasn't very masculine either. He was average smart and was super organized. Compared to my skinny body pale skin and aburn red hair and artsy style he was like an angel in disguise.
Another day passed by staring at him and from where this was going I could tell we were getting nowhere. I had to speed things up but how? Things were slowly progressing but I wanted them to go faster. Sometimes I would find him staring at me but most time I stared at him. Science class was best for caching him and gym class was best for him to catch me. It was a what seemed like a never ending cycle and I was tiered of it.
A month passed and we had only talked once. I was always told that it was the mans job to ask out a girl or to make the first move, but what if that guy wasn't doing anything or if he didn't like you then what? It was Monday morning and my favorite day. And I was going to talk to him. That day I strode down the 6th grade hall with confidence. I had on a brand new shirt with paint splats all over it, my nails were painted with neon colors. I had my hair pulled into a side braid and I wore a faint tint of pink lipstick and some mascara. My outfit was the new colorful tee with a jean jacket and grey tights, with the most colorful pair of converse you had ever seen. I'm sure to everyone else thought I looked like a rainbow had landed on me but in my eyes I looked gourges.
