Love Letter to the Girl With Wolf Ears

This is no ordinary love letter.

A love letter to one only a state away,

one new to the mind but one I heard of

long before I actually met her.

One who thinks she’s an asshole, but

to those she cares about she’s a kind

and gentle person that I have the luxury

of knowing and falling in love with.

This is a love letter to the girl with wolf ears,

a comforter, a lover. A confuser, also.

I know you cannot stay on all day, you

are not always here in person but always

here in spirit. One who understands how broken chords

can still sing, even when the chords think otherwise.

Maybe even a savior, in our short time knowing

each other. When the static rolls in I know she’s there.

Maybe not a Jane yet, but maybe soon.

One to love again, when the last angel turns into

a devil and leaves me behind once more.

No words can properly describe the feeling.

Confusion? Confliction? Love?

I think it’s the last.

A love burnt dim and low but slowly grows

bright and hot.

Imagining nights on the couch together,

watching shitty rom coms and eating popcorn.

Having coffee and soup on a winter day.

Sharing a drink during a rainy day.
