Masks
everyone wears them
those who claim to be an open book
aren't being truthfull

When I go to school
I'll socialize here and there
and chuckle silently as people act like fools
not realizing that the kids at school aren't really there

I mean sure physically
but what about emotionally
you mean to tell me that you let the feelings fly?
that when you're sad, you'll cry
and when you're angry, you'll yell
please you can't try to tell me that
it won't sell
not with someone who is hiding his own demons

The biggest question I have regarding this phenomenom is this:
Why do we create these masks and false personas?
I mean amongst friends we shouldn't have nothing to hide
That they should know the real deal
not this shell you put up on the outside

Who knows why we do this
create false personas and masks
Just keep this in mind:

That you won't know someone until you find them broken
that the shattered person is the real deal
much like a walnut or pistacio
with that hard outer shell
but once you get past that you will find the nut itself
and that the effort expended was well worth it
