Two months later

A knock sounds at the door and I stand up, grab my rifle, and look through the peephole.

"Yo, man, we gotta talk." Malek says and I roll my eyes.

I open the door and let him in.

"Where is Alista?" Malek asks, actually concerned.

"She's asleep." I say and flop onto the couch.

"Y'all gotta get out of the country. I can help, but it won't be easy. New identity, new cars, new city, new everything."

"Why? What's going on?"

"The cops are suspecting Alista murdered Cody."

"She didn't though." I growl.

"I'm helping you guys out of this area, and I will be going with you guys. I'm not being interrogate when they find out I'm one of her friends."

"I know. Let's get ready to leave."
