Slipping across the street

Making no sound

Dark like a shadow

Or should I say a shadow

You follow me everywhere

When I am at home

When I am at school

In the air

Underwater

When I am with my friends

Especially with my friends,

Around adults and children

You follow me

Like my shadow

You are a shadow but not a shadow

You are my past

The one that follows me everywhere

The one that haunts me

Full of pain and sadness

Following me like a shadow

Everywhere I go

But sometimes I forget about you

Those are the best times

The best people are the ones who let go of you

So that you are gone like the wind
