He approaches slowly but surely. The smug look on his face is enough proof of what he was going to do with that sword he was dragging. I notice the boy he was approaching shiver in fear. This better work, I think to myself, watching from afar. The victim takes a measly step back. But Alexei keeps walking with confidence.
He had a wild glint in his eye and he raises his sword onto his shoulder as he gets even closer. He had never lost a fight in all his life and today would be no different. I knew that if he was overpowered, his confidence would be his weakness. But for now, the victim was in no state to fight back.
Alexei raised the sword over his head and swung it down harshly onto the boy. I heard a scream, but it only lasted a moment. The blood splattered everywhere. All over him and the tile, which I had cleaned yesterday.
I sigh at the mess he had made but nod to myself thinking, Yes, he will do nicely.
As we exit the testing room, I wrap my arm around his shoulder and say, "You're hired."
He smiles his demonic smile at me and I realize that I had forgotten to tell him that the kid he had killed was only a dummy. I decide it was better not to let him know and we continue on our way to the room overlooking my test subjects. This was going to be fun.
