Not as Expected

Life is not what I had expected;

It is both far more and less

Than I had planned for it to be

For someone like me with a dream

And half a plan but not a whole one

But then again, I’m not sure

Quite what I expected life to be

But I am sure it was not quite this

Better or worse, I cannot say,

But life is not quite what I expected.
