On My Way

Wheels,

Wheels on a board is how I roll

Wheels on fire, is my goal.

Speed,

Is what I need

To get the thrilling

Feeling of being freed.

I kick and flick

The pebbles in my way

I spray

The road behind me.

And suddenly,

Suddenly I lose control,

It’s just too much for me,

The wheels surrender to a rock.

It feels as if it’s time for a goodbye,

But then, from nowhere, a hawk

Picks me up, we take flight.

Back on my board, ready to fight.

From the devastation

Of a crash,

To one in a million

Catch of a flash.

And soon,

Soon it all slows down,

As I roll into town.
