On Winter's Last Breath

InksmithBram Bone

I saw the ground a bit today.

South wind set and East wind stay.

For ten thousand days away had spent its snow upon the ground.

Then the rain came down; slaughtered the snow that lay on the ground.

Its watery corspe passed a'way down the drain.

Tell tale the winter face is fading, and Spring's new hope has raised her solemn flag,

and hope of Summer soon.

Author Notes: Something small I wrote at dinner today. There's been a lot of snow on the ground and it's finally starting to melt. Praise God. May Spring come fast!
