Past, Present, Future
By scorp
Past, Present, Future. Like a book. You can read the pages you have already seen, but you can’t understand the pages at the end of the book without reading the middle section. Sometimes it’s boring, sometimes your so excited about it, you're jumping up and down. Other times, you laugh or weep, or even be frightened or agitated.
One day, I will find something that will change me, define me. I conquer my fears, and I will locate my imaginary Mt. Everest, and I will prepare to ascend it. I will climb and surmount until my bones throb until my muscles give out. Then I will rest then keep going. I will keep escalating until I’m at the top.
“If all hope is lost in life, hold on to each other.” my grandmother once said. I think what she said is true. Your friends and you might get into a fight from time to time, but that’s normal. I might mess up, I might make a mistake, but I know my friends will forgive me. Just like Andrea Reser said, “Friends are like stars, you don’t always see them, but you know they’re always there.” I also think that makes absolute sense.
Because a family is a family, no matter what, I will always love them.
A home is a home, no matter what it looks like or how bad it is, it will always be the house I grew up in.
A community is a community, no matter how far I am isolated from them, they will always remain in my spirit.
