Prelude To Self Pretentious

She thought she could contribute to the conversation, but instead she became the topic of the discussion. She stood there quiet and still as the others spoke insult after insult, until she felt her heart quiver. She tried to hid face but her feelings got the better of her and the anger and sadness she felt was revealed in her eyes. Fortunetly, they never noticed and the topic was soon changed.

Author Notes: I still have no clue what prelude means.
