It kills me to see everyone living happy lives.
Under stress, my life's a mess.
I try to hide it deep inside myself and to be happy.
But at the end of the day I know im not right.
It's a never ending fight.
Sitting up here, in my favorite tree, I watch the sun set, while music flows through my veins.
Up here writing poems and jotting down thoughts, I stare deep into the dark murky water that lies beneath my feet.
Clouds reflect back off the surface.
They cover the pond like thin blankets, that you can't see under.
Which reminds me about my messed up self.
I reflect a smile from my face to everyone elses, but under that smile, that thin blanket, there's a tangled up mess.
The sun goes down, the air gets cold.
I head for my bed, where I lie clearing my head.
