Roll of Emotions

A rush of emotions roll through me

As I weave my way through the crowd

And try to hide all the emotion and pain

That has filled these hallways

All the reminders of failures past

And the tears that stained my cheeks

I scan the room for an empty seat

When my ears are flooded with a retching noise

The noise that brings this all to reality

To remind me that summer is truly over
