Silence is a strange thing,

It is both pure and filled

With sadness and misery

And is so easily broken

Yet so easy to maintain,

Silence is both sweet

And bitter and can

Conceal everything or

Nothing,

Silence is both hated

And longed for and

Broken with a single word.
