Stare

One night, I had read that if you wake up at around 3 to 4 AM, someone or something was staring at you. I decided that, that was enough for a night and went to sleep.

I woke up seemingly instantly and sleepily looked at my phone for the time - 3:00 something AM. The sleepiness was gone as soon as I remembered the thing I read shortly before sleeping. I felt so scared in that moment, I had no clue what was going to happen. If it wasn't coincidence, anything could be staring at me in the moment, something possibly dangerous. I looked around frantically, trying to make sure it was just paranoia and I was fine. Then I spotted a small figure staring straight at me. I jumped a bit in fear. Then I realized.... It was my cat. She was staring at me while I was sleeping. I think she wanted food.
