Stereotypical Teens
By Poet
In the darkness last night,
I paused and realized
This isn't right.
We don't have to be stereotypical teens
Always acting cool
Only thinking of boys,
Breaking all the rules.
We should change the way
People view teens
We aren't all cruel
And bullies and mean.
We can change the world
By just being kind.
And I know I make it sound easy,
Like it is nothing at all,
But I Know the truth is
Down deep, we are all afraid to fall.
There’s no way to guarantee
You won't ever get hurt
Because sometimes people stink.
But there's no way you'll understand people
If you hide under your rock all the time,
So come out of your hole and bask in the sun.
Just be kind and hold no grudges,
For lifes too short to do anything
That involves hate
