Teddy Bear's Tears

Teddy Bear's Tears

It was a beautiful Sunday morning, the birds whistled happily while the squirrels scampered up trees. Children’s cries echo around the neighborhood as they jumped into the pool. Every house was painted with bright colors...except one.

This shabby old house was not inviting. The windows and the doors were boarded up. The planks were infested with mold and termites. The roof was ruined and cracked in many places.

In front of the garage door, there sat a small teddy bear. It was filthy, torn and old as if it wasn’t touched for a long time. It held a small sign that read:

“Looking for a friend.”
