THE AVALANCHE

Suddenly, there came the sound of snow and ice breaking. Louder and louder the sound grew.

Then it happened.

A huge mass of snow and ice gave way and began to roar down a mountainside, like a ferocious beast.

The avalanche grew larger and larger.

It rapidly picked up speed too.

Eventually, it reached the bottom of the mountain and rumbled on down through a valley.
