The Chocolate Long John

Behind the bakery

Behind the green garbage lid

Was a fresh baked donut

Thrown out by a skinny kid

Raccoon usually lived there

He would wait for leftover goods

But Dog and Cat got to the donut first

While Raccoon was in the woods

It was a long john donut

It was covered in chocolate goo

But Dog and Cat did not want to share it

So what were they going to do?
 

Raccoon quickly jumped up next to Dog

And said why don't u split it evenly

It was big enough for two

And It is so fluffy and chocolaty

Cat said, I don't trust you dog

You will not split it fair

But dog also did not trust Cat

So both just sat and stared

Raccoon came in between them

And said that I will split it in two

Both will have even parts

Now that's what I will do

Dog and Cat agreed

Raccoon's claws were sharp

The donut was sliced and diced

But it wasn't equal parts

Dog complained to Cat

His side was much too small

Raccoon would even it out

By nibbling on it all

After Raccoon was done

Cat was now upset

Raccoon nibbled some more

There was hardly any donut left

Raccoon looked at Dog and Cat

Smiled and said with a yelp

Chocolate dripping from his whiskers

"I was glad that I could help!"
