The Exam
The crisp leaves on the trees rustle
From a long way off
As I sit in the cold silence
Of the exam hall
Waiting for my paper,
The exam should’ve started five minutes
Ago but everyone took too long to sit down,
And the papers had disappeared,
As I was given my paper,
A call of humming bird in the field
Sounded and emanated throughout the Hall,
I should stop writing,
I want to pass this paper.
