The Love of Ice

Getting onto the ice feels amazing,

The feeling of smooth, wet ice under you,

If you disappoint, you will be blazing,

The adrenaline rushing through,

The pressure of scoring that tying goal,

The audience, yelling at you fouly

The opponents come with a very quick stroll,

You, unexpectedly, hitting their goalie,

Then, you see the goal is under review,

This is do or die for you and your team,

If the goal counts, your team would continue,

If not, this would continue to be a dream,

Suddenly, you see the ref says the goal counts,

At that moment, I felt extremely profound.
