The Sea Would Take Me

I wish the sea would take me

Some place new, to a land

Silent and undiscovered and

Uninhabited and -

And it must have love

A love waiting to be discovered

Waiting to be discovered by me

Not a man - but a love- something

Simple and pure and untouched

Something that I could build on

And make into something greater

Than love - alas - it shall never

Happen, the sea will never take me

To such a place, for nothing will even

Become greater than love, except

Perhaps, poetry.
