Do you know the shadow ?

Have you ever heard of it?

You might have seen it in the dark depths of your imagination

But is it just your imagination?

Is it just in your brain?

Or is it real?

Hiding in the shadows

Waiting patiently

Watching you

While you tremble

And cower under the covers

Waiting

And Waiting

Until the sun rises

And it is gone

Only to go to bed at night

And find it waiting there

Like it always did

Like it always does

Like it always will
