The Silence Outside

It’s so silent outside

on the streets below

the house that lead

down to the sea that

crashes against the

cliffs and rocks and

eventually ends in

silence like everything

else in the world now

that the streets

outside are in silence

a silence that seems

unbreakable, it’ll be

broken by a single word.
