When I told you how I was feeling

You laughed.

When I told you how you hurt me

You brushed it off.

'It's just a joke,' you say

but that doesn't erase the pain

It caused me.

You can't just say whatever you want

And expect nobody to get hurt.

You won't always be able to brush it off.

I might have overreacted

but that doesn't mean my feelings aren't valid.

My feelings, they're valid.

Maybe I should have gone more in-depth

Told you about all the tears I shed.

But I didn't.

I need you to know.

You don't get to always brush it off and laugh

You can build up or tear down with your words.

I know you didn't mean to hurt me, but you did anyway.

And that's not okay.

It's not okay to not apologize.

Cause you hurt me, deep down inside.

I want you to know

That doesn't change the fact that I love you all.

I miss the friendship we once had.

Why doesn't anyone listen and accept that my feelings are valid

Because my feelings are

VALID.
