Lexi’s POV

I could help feel the tingly situation in my chest. He slowly moved his hands away, moving his bangs from his eyes.

Smiling, he stared at my eyes, like he was trynna read my soul.

‘Lexi?’ he said, snapping his fingers in front of my face.

I saw Mateo coming towards us.

‘ah SHITT, cover me!’ I said to Vlad as I slip into the bookshelves.

I overheard there conversation.

Vlad: sup bruh!

Mateo: Wasn’t Lexi here a second ago?

Vlad: Dunno, I think she just left.

I giggled and someone scared me from the back. Vlad stood there smiling.

‘he left.’

‘Thank you’ I said hugging him.

The rest of the day past with me hiding and Vlad laughing. I completely forgot about Tristian until after school. He texted me saying:

Lex. At least warn me before you get another BOYFRIEND. Cuz then at least I can be prepared.

Surprised I replied:

Tris, he’s not my BOYFRIEND.

Within seconds Tris came online.

Tris: Really?

Me: Well duhhh. Were just friends.

Tris: Alright Lexi, but im not changing my decision. I can’t stand seeing that u have to suffer from your family cuz of me.

Me: wat??? Sinse when did u become so official?

No reply.

I found myself going to school with Vlad the next morning, it was too cold to walk.

‘It’s weird don’t u think, a cold in the middle of summer?’

‘Ye’ I said silently. Ashly was sitting in the back, and I knew she would hear everything and pull of the bet.

‘Whats your name?’ Ashly asked Vlad

‘Vlad, Vlad Persephone’ she said.

‘Vlad, what does ur name mean?’ I asked.

He laughed, ‘It means to rule and bring death, I think’ he said

I laughed but Ashly remained silent.

‘Are you dating Lexi?’ She asked

I turned around from my eat and swatted her on her knee.

‘Ashly’ I hissed.

Vlad smilied, then blushed a deep red and pushed his bangs out of his way.

‘I’ll take my chances’ he said giving me a side smile.
