Thirty nine and growing,
Completely unknowing,
The outcome of Thursday night.
Three men entered,
Without being registered,
By the homeowner in sight.
In the dark waiting,
Disguised and Debating,
If one will see the fight.
Three against one,
Knowing who won,
Even if it's not right.
Thirty nine gets shot,
Throwing away all he's got,
Not sure if he'll see the light.
Three men scattered,
Nothing else mattered,
But the ability to be alright.
One got caught,
Other two did not,
With the six feet tall height.
Thirty nine in critical condiiton,
In hospital admission,
Completely surrounded by white.
