i was bludgeoned from inside
they pounded on my skull, it cracked like china, broke open.
using the serrated pieces to push outward, they finally split my skin, the wound weeping with their bodies.
with their thumbs, they wiped the drops of garnet away from my eyes, smearing it into my brows and on my nose, creating an image of misplaced blush.
they inched past my lips, snaked their fingers around my tongue, and slowly pulled it back, past my teeth, down my throat. it tore, a gentle mutilation, a serene dissolution of the ability to speak- they reassured me.
they gazed at their creation, the beauty of it all, and traced my skin with their nails, lifeless flaps of flesh severed from each other. the delicate form carved into the truth.
what’s within freed to the surface.
Author Notes: Please let me know what you think! A piece that just tumbled out of my muddled mind :)
