navigating problems in life is like walking down the beach in the winter
you know you don't want to jump in the ocean of problems
so you walk down the shoreline barefooted on the sand
staring at the raging sea
you don't think much of it when the water laps a little at your feet
until it hits your ankles and you realize how cold it is
so you turn around but the foam has drowned your footprints
and you realize you're lost
you try to go back
but you can't
and you see the tide is rising
the water gets deeper and deeper
still it rises
knees
hips
shoulders
head
and then you're underwater with no control
drowning in the deepness of the problems around you
and you realize the beach in the winter is not the place to be
far too late
