What I See

By Rachel Elizabeth

She's so perfect

she has a gorgeous, womanly form

you don't have those curves

her eyes are gleaming unique colors

you are stuck with basic brown

she always has neatly done hair

you struggle to tame yours

she always knows the right thing to say

you fumble over your words

she seems talented no matter what skill she does

you can't seem to master anything

If only you could see what I see

You might feel so much differently

I see you as perfectly imperfect

all of your little flaws as pretty little speckles on your stunning personality

you have an amazing body, and it can do everything that "perfect" body can

your brown eyes have a way of reflecting the sunlight that lights up your whole face

your hair isn't just messy, it's free, don't trap it in a tight style to hide it away

you have a wonderful way with words, it doesn't matter if it takes you a second to gather them

you might not be the best at what you do, but that shouldn't stop you from having the most fun doing it!

that "perfect girl?

she has flaws too, she just hides them

which is not a healthy thing to do

the best way to be your best self is to start seeing the best in you

Author Notes: this goes to anyone who needed to hear this today, you got this babe <3
