When the Sun falls behind and goes to sleep
The Moon wakes up in her warm ol' glow
The wolf climbs out of her old burrow
Hunting for food for her yearning young
Icicles climb down as the water drips
The grass obtains an icy slush
And with the moon here present
The owl flies out, looking for another midnight snack
The esteemed glow catches on the glistening snow
A cry from the barn and a soothing "Maaaa" follows
It is cold outside, in midnight December
As the trees grow icy and sleep for the Winter
As the Deer Mice run in fear all is calm in the cold, frigid air
As the Moon had her turn in the big, blue sky
The Sun shows up in a big, bold sigh
Morning has struck
This ice-stricken land
Ohhhh, how much has changed just 12 hours after
Everything is covered in white
From the tree over there to the Island In The Sky
So much will change when the Moon greets you
