I love how this is written in a dog's point of view. It's sad and beautiful. Dogs know how people feel and try to comfort them or they share the emotion. We rarely ever think about how they feel. They are man's best friend but, are we dog's best friend? Do we really deserve the friendship they give us. Dogs are left behind or forgotten when people reach new levels in life. But, it is almost as if dog's purpose is to make us humans that show no appreciation towards our pets, (in this case friends) smile. There are some people out there that care deeply about their animal companions. Others forget that at some point they could or were their only family. Thank you for making me realize this. I had a pet rabbit once but, I only realized how close I was to her when she ran away. I was devastated when I found her on the side of the road with tire tracks showing on her small body, three days later. It is like the saying, You never know how much you love something until it's gone.

I actually cried as I was reading this story it was so heart warming.But because of my parents we had to get rid of three of our dogs two of our cats and my horse. I cried and cried because I had no bestfriend to be with me. We then got another cat and I hope we get to keep her till her life ends. I miss my animals so much I always talk about how great they were and how they were always there to help. the biggest dog we gave away is now a rescue dog and the two little ones well one went to my uncle and another one went to a friend.The friend is rebecca forgey she was attacked by 4 pits and this was two weeks after they got my dog and my dog sat on her bed and waited for her to come home from the hospital. Look on google for rebecca forgey and the pit bull accident. It will help you out with what all happened to her. My horse we gave to people that would take great care of her and love and charish her. I always wanted to be a vet and marine biologist and I thank you for your heart warming story

I love this story, it is very sad but also amuses me.

This story is heartbreaking.
It touched me more than I could imagine.
This makes me realize we take purest love we could ever have for granted most of the time, and for that I feel devastated of my ignorance.
