Coming from a song writer, the rhyme scheme in this poem would work perfectly for lyrics!
What an incredibly well put together poem. I love the structure and the rhyming scheme/flow, and of course the content snaps at you too. To me, this is what poetry really is.

As a walker and nature lover I can relate to your narrator. This is a detailed, evocative piece. It can hold its own with many works in traditional media.
