A solid story on the reality of working as a private investigator aka sleuth (or private eye)!
In this ``case´´, it shows integrity being part of the job, as all people leave some thoughts unspoken & some suspicions guarded behind smiles.
Also: A violent-free tale, not one private eye shooting dozens of gangsters.
The 'Cathartics' jibe is witty and the pedantic narrator rings true. I would never get published by someone like that, but neither would most writers.
That last line is hilarious! You're very talented, I look forward to reading more of your stories.
This is amazing! That driver is so kind to tell them what he thinks they should do. I know of about a dozen people who would just bring them to their destination and watch as they get mugged. I really enjoyed your writing, it made my day!
You caught the voice of a grumpy old lady very well. I disagree with her sentiments, but there are people like that. I know you mean to be funny but good comedy is usually based on fact.
