okay it's really sad, specially the end. It feels like he's dead.
awesome; you derive great depths from simple words.
Keep it up
You write a lot of stories and musings and whatnot that inspire a lot of curiosity in me. It's all vague enough to both be relatable and to make me wonder what things everyone has that make them think things like this.
It seems like she's more worried about fashion and herself than the boy, who is yet to be named. She seems to be moving too fast into acceptance then she would be in real life. I would think she's still in shock and less worried about her wardrobe. It's a good book though and I hope you continue. Seems like somethings missing though, something crucial, but I can't put my finger on it.
I like the way you fuse the everyday with the sci-fi. Even in outer space daughters can be irritated by over-protective mothers. Her inner conflict over answering the call is believable and you wrote a good cliffhanger.
