I don't know if I should cry, hit the wall, or come yell at you for making such a wonderful (but depressing) story. I need more stuff like this in my life. Good job! And PLEASE write more stuff like this.
I felt this. I felt everything that the character (Morgan right?) was feeling. This is amazing.
I really love the idea and how you executed it. Description was lovely and really drew the reader in. The only problem I saw was in the "light" it was difficult to keep up without any previous context to the story. A prologue could help with that. Overall I thought it was very good and I hope you continue it!
