Broken

A shattered piece of glass

Scattered everywhere

A heart broken in a million pieces

But he thought no one would care.

Whoever tried to pick them up,

Cut themselves on his broken heart.

No one would risk injury,

And it further crushed the boy’s heart.

He never thought he could recover

From the hurt he’d endured.

But after another long day,

He suddenly felt cured.

It might not have been a person

Because he read it in The Word.

“Do not fear nor be dismayed,

For I am with you.”
