I know the hurt, I promise I do.
I know the pain that you're going through.

But I don't know the hurt, that much I know.
But I don't know the pain that hurts you so.

I've seen it, and yet-

I know nothing,
Nothing at all.

I wish to understand, truly I do.
I wish to know all the things you've been through.

But I don't understand, and I may never know
How bad these things are that hurt you so.

I love you, and yet-

I know that I have no right to say this,
That I don't really know you the way I should.

I just need you to understand that I'm here,
That, no matter what, I will always be here.

Through the pain and the strife and the hurt,
I'll always be with you on this planet called earth.
