Inside Glass

Flashing mirror, silver line cracks
as I look into
a broken past.
Shattered pieces, act like knives
true life with stale eyes
stare back at me.

Memories are picture frames
Need to fill
to reminisce,
but when there is nothing
all there’s to see
is a faded face.

What does this mean?

Inside glass
Tell me how long it lasts.
Staring all alone
at me who doesn’t know

Window pane clouded through
Ice and cold mildew
water all my dreams
Frozen self esteem
burns the heart and mind,
formed and crystalized.
