A glass cage trapping us
Keeping us inside
Away from the night sky

A large hand appeared
Fingertips touching the ledge
As we yearned to leave

A fissure opened
The breeze leaked in
As we rushed towards the stars

We floated towards the dark clouds
She shone like a star
He shone like a moon

Our wings beat against the wind
And we escaped
Into the darkness.
