“Quite an interesting place ya got here. Give me the 'forced' guest book so I can sign it for you. I might even give you a 5 star review.” I said with a smirk.

“Quiet, you.” he said, clearly irritated at my shenanigans.

“Oh, now that just hurts. I thought we were friends." I clutched my heart as though it really did hurt my feelings. "Wow, what a cruel hearted man." He threw a balled up peice of paper at my cage. "Oh I'm so so scared! Should I cower in my birdcage now?” I pretended to fall down and hide my head. The cage I was in really did remind me of a birdcage, but apparently it was name brand. Best of the best for villains. Or so my captor said. “So, how long have you been in the kidnapping business?”

“I said quiet!”

“Correction. You said “Quiet you!” Also, where’d you get the cool light fixtures? I looked for weeks for something like that, but I could never find that kind of stuff.”

“Lowes. Where else would you look?” He perked up and said, “Where did you look?”

“A few places but mainly... well, you would laugh at me if I told you.” I looked down, appearing to have grown shy.

“No I won't, I promise.” He flashed his famous smile at me to try and make me feel better. As if imprisoning me in a cage could help.

“Ok, I guess it wouldn't hurt.” I smiled back at him. “Here.”

“What?” His confusion was so cute. I looked him in the eye, and repeated,

"Here, I got them from here."

The lights went out all at once and I took my sweet time in climbing out of the bird cage. I sauntered out of there, stomping on his foot as I went. “Au reviour!” As soon as I got out of the building, I snapped my fingers. The building started falling down. I groaned and then snapped again. My ex-captor appeared right by my side. “What a shame, a superhero’s hideout in ruins. If you hadn’t stolen it from me, maybe I wouldn't have crushed it. But then again, I might have.”

“Oh, be quiet you.” He looked livid. I figured it might be the best time for me to go. I turned on my heel and started walking away, but he grabbed my wings.

“Excuse me, where do you think you are going?”

“Uhhhhmmm, home? You're not my dad, so leave me alone.”

He let my black wings go. “Fine, go ahead, just like you always have. Run away from the chaos you create, leaving me to clean it all up.”

I was already a few steps away from him. I turned around ever so slowly, then walked back. I tilted my head up at him, his face filled with pain because he hurt me. He looked down into my eyes for a minute. I stared into his agate eyes while he stared into mine. He said, “Look, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. I am really sorry.”

I could tell that he really was sorry but I just said, “See you around.” I flew away and didn't look back until I got home and stared out my window, looking at the stars my hero, this hero, used to watch with me at night. My insides tore my heart apart, but after I hung up my new light fixtures, I let my Kit Kat bars(ok, don't judge, we all know there were more than just a few bars in my stash) try to soothe my sadness.

And it did...

Partly...

Ok that's a complete lie, my heart was broken in two and I felt dead inside.
