throughout the days of an oh-so treacherous week of school, everli and jeremy bonded. she may have even felt...
something towards him.
she’d never let herself believe that, though.
on a particular day, however, she remembered the truth: good things never last forever.
everli came to school actually smiling, not even wearing a baggy hoodie, and instead she wore a light yellow sweater and a flowery white skirt. she had spent all night writing in her little black notebook, hoping that jeremy would see it and feel the same.
when she saw him, she stopped.
there he was, back turned to her, pressing one of the cheerleaders to the wall beside his locker. they were kissing.
everli’s heart began to crack.
“jeremy?”
he turned and smiled, blankly, almost as if..
he didn’t care...
“hey, everli.”
”who..is that?” everli asked, heart slowly shattering.
“my girlfriend.”
