Respectable concept to a story of a classic horror style. "Re imagination" and "Mashup" would be what I perceive of this story being in similar relation of Alvin Schwartz's 'Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark' with the short story Headlights, and having a unique twist to the backstory at the end of the writing in which I thought of 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'.
Quite a few grammatical errors and having the story flow fast threw me off a bit- didn't really get to sink my mind into the story until the ending with backstory of it all which was pretty cool to read.

'A reputation with the locals' not 'in the locals.' That or 'a reputation in the area.'
You evoke the setting and the characters past experiences well. I like the way they think they've debunked the myth only to realise they havn't.
A nice cliché twist done a little differently, I really enjoyed reading this!

It was good, liked the build up of suspense at the end!
Good story, and a great surprise ending. Also, was left with the question of whether it was simply an accident that Anthony got caught with the knife, or that Raymond had planned it all out. Great climax to the story. Well written, and easy to read. Entertaining.
