I really enjoyed your poem. Well done.
Y’know, the people who look like the models in magazines and in actresses in movies with waists as thin as their necks aren’t happy. They just get really sick and die because they never eat anything and they’re on drugs. I know this because my mom was one of those models. You are prettier than them because it is obvious that they are trying so hard to be practically a skeleton. I think that you only live once, so why waste your life? If you never just enjoy yourself and never eat yummy foods, your life will have been practically wasted, because to be honest I wouldn’t be able to live without conchas and crème brûlée and cake and chocolate and- I’m just babbling now, sorry. My point is, don’t waste your life hoping to be thin, because even then you wont be happy. Those people aren’t happy. They’re just sad and sick. This is a good poem though. It perfectly illustrates the effects that society’s unrealistic expectations for women have on us and how sad it makes us. I think that this is a beautiful, sad poem, and I think that you are a beautiful person who deserves to be happy. I hope that you end up happy and don’t keep struggling so much with this. Have you seen the movie “Dumplin’� It’s on Netflix and you should watch it. It is *kind of* related to this and helped me feel better about how my body looks, and hopefully it will help you too. Hopefully this has made sense and I don’t sound like a crazy person, haha.

I'm giving this five stars because of the heart you put in it. Just the tip of the iceberg of so much policing and oppression against women in this culture. You are worth more than all of it. Thanks for sharing these truths.
I like the repetition you did with the beginning and the end. There were some grammatical errors, such as "..we were told we were pretty but men we didn't know" should by "by men" instead. My favorite lines are "we have been silenced to our opinions" and "we have been told that what we say is wrong." Such a strong and bold piece.
