So glad I found this! You are an incredible writer. I love the way you explained how this world works while also tying a story to it. If I'm not mistaken, this narrator is our first narrator's brother. Keep writing, you're incredibly talented.

You make a good point about people's prejudices against outsiders and anyone who looks different. Let me offer a little constructive criticism.

Hiding from the sun under a large oak reads better than hiding under a large oak from the sun.

If Moss is a plant based life form he should ooze sap not blood as he dies. Perhaps blood is more dramatic but sap is more consistent. Plants drained of sap die just as people drained of blood do.

Okay, I absolutely love this. As someone who is non-binary I am in love with the representation. It was an amazing story but extremely sad. Also, I love the word Serendipity. You area great writer, keep it up.

I don't know the bigger picture but these characters are really endearing. I want to know more about their stories!! Great job with getting inside Theodore's head and showing us what he's thinking.
